Ampersand Gilman Hydro, LP, owner and operator of the Gilman power station (Project-2392) submitted to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s (“FERC”) the Notice of Intent to File Application for a New License (“NOI”), PreApplication Document (“PAD”), and Request for Approval to Use the Traditional Licensing Process (“TLP”) on March 24, 2019 (NOI) and May 30, 2019 (PAD and TLP request), respectively.
On September 25th, 2019, FERC granted Ampersand Gilman Hydro, LLC’s request to use the TLP based on the information in the PAD (see attached FERC letter). Pursuant to Title 18, C.F.R., Section 4.38(b)(3)-(4), Ampersand Gilman Hydro, LLC is required to hold a joint agency meeting within 60 days after the date FERC approves the applicant’s TLP request in order to explain the applicant’s project (i.e., its facilities and operation), review existing information provided by the applicant, and discuss the project’s potential environmental effects.
After consultation with the various key stakeholders, Ampersand Gilman Hydro, LP has scheduled the joint meeting to take place on November 21st, 2019 at 2 Riverside Avenue, Gilman VT. The 2-hour meeting will start at 10 AM and will be followed by a site visit, at the same address.
